Order Update
The demo LQ9D161 cable has been built and was shipped on 3/5/02. I'm expecting it by the end of this week.
The order is confirmed and I should be getting a formal quote in the next day or so.
I'll keep you posted.

WooooHoooooo!
As I am typing this I am using the demo cable from my supplier on an LQ9D161 LCD!!!
The cable looks very good. The craftsmanship is excellent.
The LQ9D161 cables might end up looking better than the 1 to 1s since the 1 to 1s will use discrete wires versus a cable.
This is so cool!
OK the order goes in tomorrow to start the build. Unfortunately I can't pay tomorrow since I'll be out of town but I'll ask my contact to start the build and I'll pay her on Monday.
Once I have solid pricing and understand the shipping costs I can let people know what their cables will cost. There is a slight difference between the 12" vs 18" and the 1 to 1 versus the LQ9D161.
Ironically, the 1 to 1 cable will probably cost a few dollars more than the LQ9D161 since it uses discrete wires. Obviously, the longer cables will cost more than the shorter ones.
We're still under $25 per cable but shipping charges to you still need to be calculated.
I'll keep you posted.
We're very close gang!

Hi Etrik,
I'm using a datalux inverter that I bought from Allen Ruble. Unfortuately he only had 1 left so i didn't buy more from him. I'm going to try and find out what inverter will work with this set up. I've got a buddy who's pretty knopwledgeable about Sharp LCDs.
If I find something out I'll post to everyone. I;ve only got one inverter and several different screens and it has worked for all of them.
