Broken Laptop FS/T Atlanta area only

I don't really want to ship this. One day the laptop stop working. It's a compaq presario 2100. I barely used it, but by the time it crapped out on me the warranty had passed. I'd rather just get rid of it. Cosmetically the laptop is flawless and still has all parts. The problem could be as simple as a power supply or as complicated as the motherboard, but I have no idea which.
So I'm willing to trade for vga screen, $150 or best offer. Again local pickup only. Will take offers through pm's, thx.

    Sorry for the crappy pic.

    Specs
    40 gig hd
    512 mb ddr sdram
    dvd rom/cd-rw drive
    amd athlon xp processor 2800+

Edit: Forgot to add that I'd also be willing to trade for a nice subwoofer.

well if i don't get rid of it over the next couple of days i may change my mind, but when i know something isn't working I'd rather sell it local just so ppl know i'm not ishting them. i know this is a steal of a deal in parts alone, but i just want to get rid of it.

i undersntad, i may get a top that has a simlar problem on here. compaqs are tough as they used to have everyting integrated on the mobo, making them really easy to service- you throw the old mobo out and get a new one :P

Interesting point...me i've only opened one laptop in my entire life and that was an old toshiba to add memory. that was pie and only require removing one screw. i'm too much of a puzzy to open up this compaq though.
