    WTB/WTT: 40gb or larger 9.5mm laptop harddrive

    I need a 40gb or larger 9.5mm notebook harddrive.
prefer new, but will accept a flawless used one.
needs to be a current ide model, and must have 5400 rpm or faster rotational speed. buffer should be 8mb.
I would rather trade for this, and I have no problems with giving the other party the better end of the stick.
have what I need? what do you want?
I will cross ship with parties I have dealt with before, or if you are an established member. If you are a noob, I would need to see the drive first before any $$ or parts leave here.
    thanks

    UPDATE:
some items I have that I will trade with.
10.4" ELO SAW touch screen w/serial controller. new parts.
8" lcd panel w/controller. has vga, rca, etc. Sharp lcd. 400 nits. lcd is refurb. controller is new
    8" touch panel, new
usb 4 wire touch controller kit, new
slot load 4x dvd drive w/ide adapter. no bezel. Apple drive. works w/pc, used.
morex 60w power supply. no brick. has atx cable w/drive connectors. used
15" ELO 5 wire touch panel. no controller, but can supply. new
12.1" ELO 5 wire touch panel. no controller, but can supply. new
other stuff, ask if you want a specific tem, I will see if I have it.
This list is not an indication that I will trade straight up for your drive, just what I have.
trades on a case by case basis.
Like I said, you will get the better deal on the trade from me, but I will not pay more than market value if I buy w/$$$
    Example: I can buy a 40gb Toshiba for 50ish
    HERE
this is the exact drive that took a dump in my laptop. (due to the PO, a drunken idiot dropping it)

    What resolution is this:
10.4" ELO SAW touch screen w/serial controller. new parts. ?

I have a 60Gb 5400RPM drive that I hadn't planned on selling/trading but could be persuaded with the right deal.

lol, i love how you're just throwing out the temptations like that;-). I have a 40gb btw, toshiba. hehe, what else you got, cause i doubt you're throwing in an 8" LCD (non touch) for a 40gb.

    Chris,
    I think the panel's res. is 4096x4096.
    Panel # SCN-IT-FLT10.4-0B4-003
    Controller is 2500S
The panel is new, never mounted. The connector cable is a little beat up. looks like it was pulled through a hole and the pvc jacket was scuffed. Not cut through, and it works just fine.

    No, not for a 40gb.
But, I will tell you this: if you want it, I will take 85.00 shipped for it. (gives me enough to buy the 60gb unit referenced aty bestbuy)

thanks for the heads up on this. That drive is perfect. I went to the computer show at Gibralter Trade Center this weekend, and the best I could find in a 60gb was a Samsung for 109.00
