what is the viewing angle on these. From the small car screens I have seen, the viewing angle is really bad... you have to look at it straight on.

As has been stated before, the actual LCD in the "Redant screen" is made by Sharp. The viewing angle has been optimized to view from above and is actually easier to see from that angle that striaght on. Horizontally, I believe the viewing angle is something like 120.

I already bought one from Lik-Sang, but thought I'd offer my opinion. I'm not comfortable buying anything online from a company that doesn't openly display their contact information. I'm not saying that I think you're going to rip me off, but I hesitate buying from companies or individuals that don't provide any information about themselves. That's the only reason I spent $20 more and bought from Lik-Sang. Peace of mind is worth a measly $20.

Then again, opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one.

you are a man of many wise words...

I agree fully, I am hesitant of buying online at the best of times. If a company/individual aint gonna put their 'balls on the line' with their information, I ain't looking their way...

What information could you possibly want from me? I've already had a number of completely successful sales from here, people that would look on ebay and check my feedback, or simply ASK a seller if you want to know.
You want my address, social security number, employer ID number, resellers permit number, business license number? seriously, would you say something like that about every store on the net? do you know anything about most of the places you would purchase things from on the net?
It seems most people rely on simple communication skills rather than just living in their cave and not purchasing anything from someone they don't know...
In your case, you chose to send your money to a company in Hong Kong, could you call them if you have a problem? not likely. And what could you possibly know about them?

This isn't meant to be offensive in any way, you felt like posting your opinion, I thus posted mine. And this will hopefully answer some questions for other possible customers who are considering purchase elsewhere.

    Thank you,
    Goodnight...

No, you can keep your social security number. I'm talking about an address and phone number where anyone wanting information can contact you at. That's all. Maybe even a link to your ebay page that shows all of your happy customers. It's solely the appearance of being open and honest and wanting to serve the customer. True, it could be a fake address and phone number, and we'd never know. But if you had had that little bit of information on your site, I would've been less hesitant to buy from you. We're talking about $200 here. Help make us feel comfortable handing it over to you.

Am I making any sense here?

Aren't you worried that the screen from Lik-sang will have the problem with the grey band on the left side that everyone has been complaining about?: 7" Redant Problem
I don't know, but with all the complaints I've heard from lik-sang on this board, I certainly wouldn't go with them... looks like almost everyone who bought one from them had the defective band because of the ntsc/pal converter, and dscustom's lcd does not have this switch.

I don't know much about lik-sang, but I bet they are just as likely to be a 'garage' outfit. I live in atlanta, and there are many online computer stores that are based here. Their website may look great, but then you go into their shops and it makes you think twice about whether you would buy anything from them.

You do need to work on that website though, it doesn't look too impressive the way it is right now. A nice website with good information on it will probably help you out a lot, and make a better impression on those who are interested in buying.

Has anyone on this forum bought an lcd from dscustoms? If so I would like to hear your opinion. I'm sure if someone buys one and isn't satisfied we'll here them complain on this forum and warn the rest of us.

Couldn't you give a better deal though, cause it's not much difference between lik-sang, which may be part of the reason people are still buying from them.

Uhm...yeah. Every Redant screen has had that band. Even dscustom's.

I don't know, but with all the complaints I've heard from lik-sang on this board, I certainly wouldn't go with them... looks like almost everyone who bought one from them had the defective band because of the ntsc/pal converter, and dscustom's lcd does not have this switch.
Buying from dscustom won't be any different. He sells the same LCD, minus a switch. Gray band and all.

The only complaint I've heard about lik-sang is that when Adam Fertig tried to get it replaced with one that didn't have a gray band, it took forever to get back to him. Apparently it's a common problem, so wouldn't it be smarter to contact the manufacturer? What other complaints have you heard?
