WTB - RCA video recorder for motorcycle

Hey guy's my buddy came to me this morning with a kind of odd request for a piece of hardware. This kid he knows had a rear view camera installed on his bike, and a monitor mounted on the steering column. Now he wants a device that will record the RCA Video from the rear view camera onto some sort of medium to capture stunts and what not. Anyone have an idea for what he could use or have something they'd like to sell. Obviously there isn't a lot of realstate to install a VCR which was my first option until he told me the whole story that the system was installed on a bike.

Any input or something you have for sale that would do the job please post here...

I have no real idea just throwing something out there. Maybe a PDA or a MP3 player with video and recording features. Like the RCA lyra mp3 player that has a 4" screen on it. I believe that allows you to record stuff to it via RCA. They are like $200 or so. Once again I am no expert just throwing something out there.

Just tell him to get one of those cheap Tony Hawk Helmet Cams for a simple solution.

But for better quality, on my bike I took a sony ccd bullet cam, and ran the RCA's to Archos Video Player/Recorder. I used a small DC-DC convert to power the bullet cam, but they make battery packs for them that will last for a couple hours of recording.

the RCA RD2780 works. They go on ebay with a spy setup. You should look into that. Also, the hdd is 20, but I can sell your friend a 60 Gb hdd for the player
