yeah i know that you can get a raw screen, but the guy on [H] is selling cased, ready to use, screens.
all you do is plug in the ac adapter (included), plug in the vga cable from the computer (cable included), and your good to go. NO RCA connections though!
you dont have to worry about getting a controller, inverter, and power supply. it is all included. plus they have built in stands and they have a pretty good picture.

Actually, I won one of the 20 dollar ones off ebay (model # actually LQ104vdg11...nice screens..350 nits...used for bank terminals and medical use and such) and am waiting for it to come in...combined with inverter from http://www.milesie.co.uk/shop/asp/pr...duct=352&V=881 (its in the uk, ends up being around 65 bucks for the inverter)...waiting for this as well..let you know how it turns out...ill prolly sell it on ebay or here later any way, I also have a 12.1" screen coming in too.
Yeah I got in and ordered one of these units. It almost sounds to good to be true, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
How can you power this baby up in your car?
Can you draw enough power from a psu?
And if so, how?
Coz i read that just have to plug em in a power outlet in the house.
i would think that it is an ac-dc wall plug, and that the output is either 12v or 5v, with probably only a couple amps of capacity on the plug. i would bet the screen only pulls a couple hundred mA.
i dont see why this wouldnt run on a STANDARD ATX supply, but on a sproggy or likewise, you might have a problem. you may have to rig up another higher current circuit.
without the power requirements it is really hard to say what wont or will run this screen.
