Can someone explain to me how there can be such a thing as an LCD projector?
It's made up of 3 small (1-2") LCDs with a very bright backlight that shines through a lens. LCD projectors are cheaper, sharper, and less maintenance. The HDTV-ready DLP projectors are really schweet. Mmm...technology.
Huh, interesting. Never would have thought such a thing would work so well.
You can build one yourself for under 200 bucks. And amazingly enough, it works pretty damn good. In fact, that's kind of how I found this website (looking up plans for an LCD projector).

actually, Ive been looking at this one here, its still $1,000 more than what I want to spend, but I may go the DIY route.
