    FS: USB hard drive enclosure

Requres external +5V unless you plug it directly into the motherboard (this hard drive needs +5 but I've used a 2 gig that doesnt need it)

Ive got a USB 1.1 enclosure and a hitachi 15 gig laptop hard drive if youre interested... heres a pic of the enclosure:

yeah its pretty nice... the drivers come standard with windows so you can take it to anyones house and it will work. its really easy to update it with mp3s... i set it as D:\ when its in the car and i just make a playlist on it that is loaded when the computer boots.

Could you please explain what you mean by this? If you didn't plug it into the mobo, what would you plug it into? I don't get it.. :P

for some reason usb straight off the mobo connectors (the 2 next to the ps2 ports) has alot more power than secondary connectors. It all depends on the current that the hard drive requires. I have an external power plug for it though.
