Thread: Complete CarPC & 2001 BMW 330 Convertible

Yep, the whole car is for sale in Los Angeles. I just bought a Camry Hybrid because I am commuting 120 miles/day and put 33,000 miles on the BMW just last year alone. I have everything installed and working in the car with no complaints (except the gas mileage). I even have a backup camera hooked up. I have the iBus connector, but never had the chance to install that for the steering wheel controls, but I do have the PowerMate knob which works pretty nice. The car is pre-wired for the OBD II connector, which is the only conceivable option that I didn't actually buy yet. I am looking for $32,000 for the whole thing. I am not terribly interested in paying someone to rip out the computer system and selling it in pieces or in whole. Here are all the specifics (maybe skip the first 2 paragraphs for those of you who already know what a carPC is used for):

One of the main features of this car is the Custom Entertainment System, based on the Windows XP Operating System. The main CPU unit is installed in trunk for out of sight-anti theft. The main display screen is a 7” touch screen that folds into the dash board for less visibility when the car is parked. You can add any USB device you can think of! It already has GPS Navigation, DVD movies, Nearly unlimited MP3 capability, Itunes, Wireless internet access from any hotspot, Satellite Radio, AM/FM, Blue Tooth, wireless keyboard and mouse, PowerMate volume knob, Infrared Remote for sound system, Pre-Wired for OBD II connector, USB port in center console & trunk.

You can store all the music, movies, music videos you want on the internal hard drive. You can connect either the wireless network or Bluetooth adaptor to your home pc or laptop and download all your files to your in-car system. The possibilities are endless, you could hook up your video surveillance of your home and watch it in the car when traveling, through a cell phone modem (not included), also connect to the internet!
