I have a brand new carbuttons for sale. I have one controlling my 6 steering wheels controls and the 10 buttons my dash bezel and it works pefectly. It also has 3 custom inputs and one low battery input. For more info check out http://www.madhacker.org/carbuttons.htm. The device works by detecting the resistance of different buttons.

trying to figure out, is it possible to use that "plugin" in my volvo s60
It should work as long as your buttons send different resistance on each button press.
