Did you have any problems with the Car2pc adapter? Did you have to modify it at all? I have an 03 accord, and i cant get either the computer, or the HU to recognize it.

Yes im using the car2pc adapter. Remember it is USB that will need a long extension to reach your PC and also it will use the AUX in to the back of the radio.
worked great out of the box for me

The connection i used was on the bottom of the head unit. You say you found it in the back of the head unit? Do you have the same all-in-one cd changer? i.e. there is no other component for the changer?

I appreciate that john, but i got in touch with car2pc, and they are going to send me out another cable. I also noticed that when i opened the case on the adapter, the chip wasn't seated properly. I took it off, and noticed that it was insertered backwards. They are sending out a new cable, if that doesnt work, then i will have them replace the box and go from there.

Oh i thought you might find this interesting, this is my honda, NEARLY identical to yours, but yours is alot newer. Mine's an 03. The monitor was fabricated into the flip up center compartment, and i was able to keep the flip up cabability, so i will be able to mount a dvdrom right behind it later on.

and yeah, i know, the finish on the bezel isnt perfect, but for now it will do.

it is a little bit, but the monitor due to size, wont go all the way up like it used to. just not enough space, and the cables kind of get in the way. it does go up just enough that i will eventually be able to mount the drive in behind it for easy access.
