Compaq R3000, 7" t-view F/S

I have a Compaq R3000 computer for sale. Here are the specs
AMD Mobile athlon 3000+
768mb ram
brand new 40 gig seagate hard drive
Windows Media center edition
3 usb2 ports
firewire
media card reader
nvidia graphics geforce 4 440
dvd burner
802.11G
VGA/ Svideo out
volume controls

The computer is in good shape except for the screen which has a crack diagonally down it. new screen is $100 or hook it up to an external monitor. Also the battery no longer holds a charge. The computer works great and i am typing on it right now but i need to sell to pay for my 32" lcd. Looking to get $200 plus shipping for it.

I also have a 7" T-view touchscreen monitor that the touchscreen stopped working correctly on. Probably an easy fix but i upgraded to an 8" before i tried to fix it. LCD screen itself works great, VGA and RCA inputs.

Any thoughts on what is the source of the problem re: touch ability?
At this point, what is the nature of the problem (no touch recognition at all, partial, erattic, etc)? ~ Your thoughts on how to fix it?

~edit to add~
Can you take a pic or two of the back fo the unit (showing mounting points, cables plugged in, ect). I am having a hard time finding any online documentation/info on this model...

the touchscreen is erattic. it could be an easy fix but like i said i bought an 8" to fit in my dash better and i dont feel like messing with it. i will get somemore pics later tonight after work.
