Kontron and Microbus Pro mobile PC's

    Hi

I have various bits of mobile PC hardware that are now surplus to requirement.

    1 x Kontron CV-Server (http://emea.kontron.com/index.php?id...&productid=318)

    2 x Microbus M-PC (http://embedded-pc.microbus.com/prod...stems/mpx.html)

These are high-end industrial mobile PCs, fully ruggedised with the highest quality components ensuring full resilience for use in vehicles. For example, the M-PC's are used by most police forces in the UK, and the CV-Server used in police and military vehicles worldwide.

These systems were used for R&D purposes and are in mint condition.

The CV-Server has the following spec:

1.4Ghz Pentium M, 512mb ram, 40GB ruggedised HDD plus all the other features mentioned on Kontron website. I can forward a spec sheet.

The M-PC (as far as I can remember) are PIII 700mhz, 256mb ram with integrated GPS/GSM cards. Again, I can probably dig out a spec sheet.
I also have the battery back up unit and1 x LVDS/Panel Link 10" touchscreen for this system.

Both systems are designed to run from 12/24v DC, have IGN sense and integrated logic handling start up shutdown. The CV-Server has a great BIOS for handling this. It's been a while since I messed with the M-PC but afaia, it has similar features.

I basically want to sell these units on for a fair price and feel that users of this forum would probably benefit most from this kit.

I can supply any details required should anyone show an interest. I'll enter into dialogue privately should it be requested to discuss costs. I also have pictures I can post.

There is loads of info online regarding these units so please do a bit of research so I can deal with specific questions rather than more obvious ones.

    Thanks for reading.

Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

    Another update!

Had a chance to go thoroughly through the specs for the Microbus stuff last night. I have now listed the M-PC and screen combo on ebay:

Hope it's of interest to someone...

    ....

"Built in 2 x GSM voice/data/modem" - voice is not connected into the PC..

"Drivers are available from the manufacturer" - but only if you ask me nicely.. :-)

oh, and use the spec page on the mobile-pc website: http://mobile-data.microbus.com/products/m-pc.php - it's far more current..
