i recently bought a used laptop...
it's toshiba satellite a15-s1292 w/ 2.4 ghz intel celeron...
i temporarily put 1ghz of ram.
but this laptop is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow....

it took me 6 hours to install window xp.... wtf~
do you think it's hard drive problem?
it take so long to open anything.... i know intel celeron sucks but...
if the problem is hard drive i need to buy it from u...
i cant figure out why it's so damn slow...

if u got any idea let me know...

there are many reasons It could be SLOW.

I am assumming you said you put in 1gb of ram
and did not mean 1ghz

possible problems

1 cache may not be active on your cpu. this would make is slow as molassas
(sheck in bios)
2 possible bad ram

3 bad install of xp

4 bad motherboard


I dont think it is the hd because you said it is slow all the time. bad hd should only slow computer when it is reading from drive.

i may be takine 1-2 of these from you this weekend. new? used? if so how long? in what condition...

used short time.
