So how come the keyboard is worth so damn much? Is there anything really special about it? Serious question...
It's an industrial-grade keyboard with an industrial-grade feature set as shown on their website. If you don't need that kind of quality or feature set, then there's nothing special about it (just like anything else). If you do, then the price I've set is *very* special.
