Thread: IBM T40 laptop with issues for sale on the cheap

Got hit with a new project and i just got this laptop in. Seems like an easy repair, but i'm busy and need the workspace

Laptop is CLEAN. If i didn't now it was used, i woudl have thought it was a refurb from the manufacturer I will try to dust it best as i can because, well, i put it on my workbench lol. That's not as clean.

Has intermittent boot issues. Sometimes there is a display,sometimes there isn't. Everything lights up though. it gives me the LCD error code, so i think its the LCD but don't quote me as i haven't played with it. I bought a NEW LCD inverter for it, but I've got no time to fix it.

NO HARDDRIVE, but caddy is there. Information security and between frying the drive with a NIB magnet or 13 overwrites, i'd rather just keep it.

$15 for shipping with DC to CONUS. price is firm Just saw one of these babies go for more the same price with NOTHING included but the unit.

Price is pretty firm, but i will also take trades and cash
