I'm going to go take some pics right now I will post them in this post
Okay well it's not just for mustangs, any 05+ ford car that has a double din will work just fine. Ford used the same setup across all their cars so this will drop in to any 05+ ford with a double din.
What's Included in the Kit
Power - M2-ATX 160W
Screen - Lilliput HR 701-NP 7" touch screen monitor
Motherboard & Processor - D201-GLY w/ fan
Monitor housing - Bybyte mounting bracket and and meta housing. Everything sits flush and looks completely stock. The best part is it's all removable with not trace of ever being in the car.
GPS - bu-353
Hard Drive - 250gb 3.5" hd mounted outside of case to reduce heat inside the case. When you live in Florida you have to do everything you can to reduce overheating.
Case - I forget what case it was it's really slim and sleek though. I have modified the case to have 2 case fans. One fan pumps air in and the other takes it out. Again living in Florida you need to keep it cool.
Keyboards - I have 2 keyboards in the car. The first keyboard is a little mini keyboard made by madcatz. It's made for the ps3 but works just fine on a pc. Here is a pic of what it looks like.
The second keyboard is a full size keyboard w/ built in mouse. It has a trackball mouse on the top left of it, which helps out when you're messing with settings and stuff on the pc. Both keyboards are wireless.
Controller - I have a usb NES controller. This is just amazing for playing old school nintendo games on the car pc. I built a custom skin for the carpc which incorporates a video game section. You can easily load your own roms onto the pc and play all your classic NES games using a real NES controller.
Cables - Everything I have is included in the deal. This includes
- 15ft of 8ga wire w/ fuse
- Speaker Wire
- Multiple usb extenders
- 3.5" headphone jack to rca cables (this is needed if you have a shaker 500 or shaker 1000 system)
- Radio & Amp wiring kit (This works great, no need to tap into your stock harness. Just plug it in and go pretty much)
- Ground Loop Isolator (removes "scratch sounds" to produce a nice sound quality)
- All power cables, molex adapters etc is all included
Software
Operating System - Windows Xp w/ sp3 (very very stable, I've used it for more then a year now with no problems at all. I have removed a lot from the OS and edited config files and boot setups to increase speed, boot times and stability.)
Drivers - I have the most up to date drivers for all the hardware and bios. I will also include all the discs that I have.
Front End - I'm running the latest version of roadrunner. I have a custom theme that I created myself for my likings. If you're not a fan of it, you can easily change the layout to one of the hundreds of free ones.
Games - Like I mentioned above, you're able to play NES roms right in the frontend. No need to navigate though everything just click on the Games button and pick a game.
I can't think of what else you guys would want to know. If you need to know anything else feel free to ask.
Will this fit in my car?
Like I said if you have a 05+ Ford with a double din, you're ready to go. You will not need to purchase anything at all. If you don't have a Ford but you have a double din slot then yes it will fit. You're going to need to purchase a kit from bybyte and switch out the current frame with the one made for your car. It's really simple to do.
Price
Well I never totaled up all my receipts but it cost a pretty penny for everything. I'm just looking for 500$ which is less then half the total price everything cost me.
Pm me or reply to this thread if you need anymore details or have any questions
Thanks,
Dave
