Thread: eBayed: KEF KP-5.1 DSP Unit (Optical or SPDIF to Amps)

I got this unit a while ago off eBay.
It converts your optical or spdif signal to separate channels so you can hook them up to amplifiers. Runs off 12 volts with a standard style amp hookup. (+, -, and turn on) also can be powered in the home off a ac adapter.
This unit also takes a standard RCA analog input.
I had this hooked up to a Sound Blaster through Optical and to my two Amps.
The unit also comes with a volume up or down control switch to control the volume. After a power off it will reset and default to a lower volume which is nice to prevent your system from loud playback when the system resumes.
Manual also included.
Tested to work.
