Does this have the transflective rear panel or whatever it is? Wondering if that makes it more difficult to replace the backlight.......
I had this in a WRX Bezal and it ran well for a few years then the backlighting went on it.
I also extended/relocated the IR receiver on it.
I can confirm you can see a picture on the screen when you shine a flashlight on it.
Probably a easy fix, but I have no need for this since I got a Pioneer HU now.
I originally purchased this here for over $700.
$199 shipped to anyone who wants to try to fix it in the CONUS.
No returns on this device, it is being sold as is.
Comes with all accessories pictured.
Here are some pics:
Thanks for looking.

I'm not sure how the trans-reflective is applied to it but I think it's on the front because there is a piece of glass between the LCD and Touchscreen panel, which I think is the trans-reflective part.
I don't think it would make it anymore difficult to replace the backlighting.

Transflective stuff is behind the lcd panel itself.
As long as it isn't optically bonded you should be good. Mo-co-so told me my optically bonded could not be opened but I would think a regular transflective could as it is just fancy films loosly sandwiched in there.
Well I think they are optically bonded to the panel it self, not the backlight.
Yea I don't think it's bonded. Sold to Hdale.
