Good simple article from CNN

I like this article about Cloud Computing.(HERE) After watching and reading it I believe I can explain it in simple terms to my family and friends. What I also like about the article is that it brings up the questions that Heather was asking in another post "tiny-info"
and that the idea of a bunch of geeks,techs(people like me) and business' having captive access to my families data :SCARES THE HELL OUTA ME"

Ha HA! The quote in your signature is from Batman back the day! I just had to shout this. Back to the topic at hand..I agree regarding the whole cloud computing thing. But maybe its not so bad for generic docs or files that you want access to at home and away from home ..then again that's what email is for.

I have to agree I was more pointing out the simplicity of the article and explain the cloud to others. Most people and families want a simple explanation, not an in-depth white paper or instruction manual.

I think for simple pics, docs, and even small storage yes. Yet medical records, social security numbers, my kids school info, etc, etc, Most companies lose data on laptops, hard drives and because of employee theft. I just don't trust our current secuity methods let alone something that can and will be hacked. I still believe the most secure data is on a computer that is off and in a locked safe.
