That is true the Mac Mini has an EFI firmware rather than a PC style BIOS.
How do you have your power button wired? macpac wire? or some other method?
right now, i do not have anything wired to my power button, but i was thinking about wiring the acpi wires to the my positive and negative outputs and moving the jumper in JP3 pins 1 2
am i on the right track?
it wont resume after hibernate unless i physically hit the power button.
Without a connection to the isense cable the mac won't turn on at all which is why you have to push the power button.
maybe i need this? http://store.mp3car.com/Mac_Mini_Pow..._p/cbl-089.htm
so i bought the mac mini power kit and installed the y connector with a push button. this actually works with the push button, but i still cannot get a configuration to work in order to return from hibernate automatically.
in other words, it will hibernate, but will not return to hibernate unless i physically hit the power button.
how can i wire it up so that it will return when i turn on the ignition. ive tried wiring the green acpi cable from the p2140 to the green cable of the mac power kit and the black (ground) to the black cable. the white isense cable still remains to be a mystery to me. how can i set this up?
Do you have a working link to the installation instruction PDF for that power button kit?
The link in the store doesn't work.
