ok i think i just found the driver.... in the post link above.

but I still have the same problem in red below;

In the directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\P2140 Monitor\Microchip USB Device Driver" there is the appropriate files to load for the device driver under 64 bit systems.

When I try to launch the original PSUmoni2140 application I get "The program has stopped
responding...."

The original PSUmonitor application, or the Windows 7 64 bit version that you can download from carnetix.com?

so i installed the link you gave me...for the x64 version (aleady had it installed) but did it again and it still says "PSUmoni2140 has stopped working" when i try to launch it.

I tried PSUmoni on my XP machine and it came right up with no issues...

any other ideas?

Anyone get this to work yet? It crashes on my system, even with the new drivers.

Very disappointing- I've updated everything, and it still won't run. I can't do a clean sleep, as the USB is borked for the device. I just can't get the machine to recognize the driver.

Well I finally figured it out. After I installed the 64 bit stuff, I had to go to device manager and point it to the files under the Program Files dir, not the Program Files (x86). After the USB device got the drivers loaded, the Carnetix P2140 Monitoring Service app works fine. I still can't run the PSUmoni app- it crashes every time. But I was able to run that app on an old WinXP box, and program up the supply to work the way I want.

So it is usable, but I'm still disappointed I can't run PSUmoni on my car PC.

Try this, its what I use on my win7 32 bit system and launches PsuMoni properly, good luck!

If you're running Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate there is a free Microsoft Application that allows you to run a virtual XP operating system. They call it Windows XP Mode and the link to it is below:

Here are the steps I we recently used to get the PSUmoni software up and running on a Windows 7 machine:
1. Using the above Microsoft link, selected the operating system (professional 64-bit) and followed the steps 1-4 (downloaded all 3 pieces of software)
2. Installed Windows XP Mode
3. Installed Windows Virtual PC
4. Restarted the computer.
5. Opened Windows XP Mode
6. Downloaded the PSUmoni 2140 software for Windows XP
7. It will prompt you to install Microsoft's .NET framework, install 3.5 Service Pack 1
8. Install program as normal and it will be found in program files.
9. Run program.

I know it's a cumbersome work-around, but hopefully the Windows 7 (and 8) versions will be refined soon.
