    Arrow Dim the backlight

I hope someone is out there that knows API calls better than I do. I've been working on a OBD-II gauge cluster (It actually works too!) and am trying to find some way to control the backlight through code. I know it's possible because in the Tablet PC edition of XP there is program that controls the backlight.

I had a spark of hope with "VideoSetDisplayBrightness" but the sample code I found didn't work on my Dell 500m or my Toshiba Portege 3500 (the tablet).

Can anyone point me in the right direction (hopefully with a little sample code)?

    Thanks in advance,

I just posted this in another thread. Maybe it's what you're looking for.

You can control the gamma ramp through code. google GetDeviceGammaRamp or check this thread I just put a bunch of example code into.
