My car does not have OBD-II. Are there any apps for me? I would like to install a multitude of sensors (exhaust temp, boost, oil pressure, intake charge temp, intercooler temp etc etc.) and then somehow route the sensor data to a pc and calibrate the data into digital gauges on the pc screen. Any ideas? This would me more practical (and cheaper?) than buying 10 analog gauges and installing them... :)
My own guess: Buy and program an Arduino! http://www.arduino.cc
johniemi, how about Fusion Brain?

as i see that there i sno answer to thus question -
IS THERE EVER GONNA BE A WAY THAT DASHCOMMAND WOULD WORK ON MY 2007 IBIZA TURBO 1.8 ???!!!
sorry for that..
can i fit an elm 327 in my car ?
i'm using vag-com but its not that intersting like those beautiful dashes...
thanks.
and again, i'm sorry for being rude.
a 2007 Ibiza can be fitted with an ELM327 of course...
are you sure ?
people here tell me that only vag-com works with vag cars..
i have a vag-com cable but i have no use for vag-com as i only want to read data int centrafuse and dashcommand
thanks:cheer2:
First of all, the Ibiza isn't a VAG. It just uses the same protocol as most european cars do. So, if the ELM327 supports such a protocol on my Fiat Punto, I'm sure it also supports in on the Ibiza (as all european cars made after 2001 MUST use the EOBD protocol, or the CAN BUS protocol after 2008, and both are supported by the ELM327).
i'm preatty sure my ibiza 1.8t uses the same ecu (bosch 7.5)as all the other vag 1.8t..
don't get me wrong - i'm loving what i'm hearing but..
someone can verify that ? i want dashcommand !!
That doesn't matter... My Punto uses the same Marelli ECU as the older Puntos and Lancia Y did, and yet mine supports EOBD while the older ones don't. There's a law to set the rules on how those things are made. And since the Ibiza is a spanish car (VAG stands for Volkswagen, and those are german), it shares the same interface as all other european cars, be it a Volkswagen, a Fiat, a BMW, a Mercedes, or even a Maseratti!
As long as you have an OBD2 port and your car is OBD2 compliant, you're set to go with an ELM327. A VAG-COM is simply a proprietary cable, it has nothing to do with the model of your ECU. If I plugged a VAG-COM on my Punto, it would work just as well.
