    The latest design of the digimod is now on the wiki

    There is no change in functionality, just moving the search by to look cleaner.
    here is the screen shot of how it looks.

    I have remove all the links to the digimod from this thread so that you can only get it from the wiki

    The only reason why you can't use lat/long is that I have not found good way inputing both at one time. Currently in SD you can only input one thing at a time. I will probably have to create a new display for entering lat and lon.

    but if you know of a good site that I can use to generate lat and long of an area based off city, I can use that to create one for you UK folks.

    Here is a PHP Script that I used to use to retieve Lat/Long from google maps - it used to work with UK postcodes and locations eg PO2 8QL or Portsmouth,UK

    {Code Removed as no longer works}

    Alternative Site Info

    http://ws.geonames.org/findNearbyPos...y=uk&radius=10

    I am hoping this could be adapted for use with VE Cache - Thanks in Advance

    Cool, i'll take a look this after my vacation. i'll actually be heading to UK in about a week for about 2 weeks. i'll check it out.

    This site will actually make coding a bit easier as its already generating an xml file base on pos. all i would have to do is change the xml to the same format as my xml file and the code should work.

    Now, is this site reliable? Meaning, would you think its like to stay this way for a while, unlike google's constant change?

    Thanks for the hard work...the mod works well for me, and is much appreciated.

    When downloading images, are all images redownloaded from the beginning if a download in progress is cancelled? For example, if I begin to download the images for a particular zipcode, but then cancel partway through the download, will ALL the images be downloaded again if I attempt to download images for the same zipcode?

    yes the images will be redownloaded from the beginning if the downloading is cancelled. I am not sure if SD will physically redownload the file if its already there. But am sure it does since the contents of the files might change. i dont know how much more complex its going to be to try to figure out what already been downloaded or to hold the status of the download beyond the digimod screen. if the download process was extremely slow I would look into better ways to tackle the issues above but for right now if a download is cancelled partway you will just have to redownload all the images.

    Good to know...thanks. I hadn't considered that the images might change. I don't have a PC inside (Mac OS in the house, PC in the car to run SD), so while I'd like to download all images for my city (Dallas), I'm not sure I want to let my car idle for as long as it will take to do so.

    How large of an area does a cell setting of 50 w/ the dynamic zoom option enabled cover? I set the zipcode of my home, selected dynamic zoom and set the cell bar to 50 and its downloding 20402 images. just wanted to get an idea of how large of an area this covers so i wont have to go one zipcode at a time. thanks
