I just downloaded it to a clean computer and it works OK. The executable is only 28k. What error are you getting?

i have attached the error am getting. I believe i might not have the .net framework installed on my home pc. i'll try to install that and see if that resolves the issue
That's usually what you get when you don't have .NET installed... FYI

Yeap, installing .NET resolved the issue. now ama get my download on.
marchello2000,
Thanks man for making this program up, I am glad you found a little time to do it! I did end up getting my entire city cached, only took about 700mb at all zoom levels. It took many many hours to do because its hard to pan around to get the whole city, even at doing 20 tiles each way at a time. It gets sort of complicated when doing it that way because its hard to know what you have cached and what you haven't. You can try counting over 40 panels to cache an entirely new area, but all that gets really confusing when you have to start panning up and down and left and right and trying to count where your at and all. But hey, beggars can't be choosers right
Thanks so much for your hard work to help us out. It gets the job done!

hey marchello,
am still confused about what the cells box mean. I have tried putting 9 and 20 and saw no difference. what is that box for. thanks
I re-read your orginal post and it does say that .net framework is need. i must have just glimpse past that.
That's exactly right. In effect if you specify 5 cells you are downloading 11x11=121 cells. (5 + 1 + 5)^2.
Ok, so I was thinking. Would this be helpful to you:
1. You se the zoom such that you see all of the area you care about.
2. Then say download everything in the current view with zoom from x to y, where x and y are user specified?
I think this would be a quick and easy way to download a large area. I will also make it multithreaded so that downloads go a little faster..
Mark
I like those ideas but I also think that you should have the option to download all the zoom levels between the user defined input (like 5 - 20) within there desired location. I know that may be a lot and I mean A LOT of pictures/hdd space but it still seems possible and probable to me, what do you think?
