    Marchello2000,
the cells worked great. Now is it possible to expose the function that you use to download the images as a dll. if you could make the arguments to be lat, long, zoom, cell and path, that would be great. If I had dll, I would be able to wipe a digital mod that would allow me cache an entire city, zipcode or lat and long with all zoom level needed.
I can start writing this digital mod and give it to you if you can provide a dll or vice versa.

    appreciate the effort.

Am I doing this right, do I need to download the maps for each zoom level one at a time (e.g. zoom=15, 14, 13, 12, 11...)?

The higher number zoom (i.e. 18, 17, 16) correspond with the lower number zoom (1...). The lower zoom (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) corrspond with the higher zoom (...100). Another way to look at it is the higher number zoom (maps) correspond to the zoom lever being all the way up, and the lower zoom with the zoom lever being towards the bottom of the screen. As far as special steps...no. As long as you copied them into the right place and have not messed with the names you'll be good to go. If you are unsure if you have done it right, go back and reread all of the threads basically starting on the second page (including the link to the other thread). It was all made to be fairly straight forward. My guess is that you have already figured it out by now.

    marchello,
Thanks again, I'm loving it. I've cached the whole region between home and the office. Luckily I live fairly close. The program is sweet as is, but if you are looking for ways to improve it before it gets rolled in to the next release of Windows or if they are going to offer it on Xbox Live , here's my two cents...

    • the ability to have it remember your last used long & lat
    • the ability to have it remember your "save to" destination
    • the ability to enter zoom ranges (e.g. download 1-18 or all even/odd)
    • as you mentioned before, the ability to see the area you are about to download (cells)
    • It might even be cool to set up a list of tasks, then have the program run them all. Such as enter in five variable sets, and have it dl them all
    • Those error messages stop the dl process, if it would be possible to automatically clear them so the dl resumes

Again, sweet as is and THANKS! Just thought I'd share my thoughts.

I wish I had realized earlier that you can have multiple copies running at the same time to speed up the process, I'll know for the next time I move.

Those are great ideas, JasonMK. If I have time I will definitely take them into account when I roll out the next version. Bembowe said he will be working on a DigitalMod for this so perhaps my updates wont be necessary

Again, thanks for good feedback I hope I will get some time soon to incorporate it!
