My digi mods stopped working.....

Hi all,

For whatever reason 3 out of the 5 digi mods I’ve tried to install come up within SD as 'Stopped'. I have tried to trouble shoot this to the nth degree but still no luck.
I have the demo version of SD installed and upgraded to v1.10.0.0, I also have .NET 2 installed along with WMP11 (although I don’t think that matters).

Please see screen shot for what I’m describing.

Is there something I’m missing here? Do I have to have some sought of windows update installed? Or something else all together.

Because digital mods are written by third party developers I would recomend posting your help request in the digital mod threads for the digital mods that have stopped working. It might net you better results.

Just to re - question my first post, do I have to have some sought of windows update installed to get digi mods working? I ask this thinking its something wrong with my setup as oppose to the actual digi mod because even the SD released digi mods have the same problem. The 'examples' and 'example1' digi mods under the digi mod wiki are the ones Im talking about in particular.

yeah some do, the yahoo addin and the weather addin seemed to work ok, however the two or three examples under the wiki along with a few other digi mods dont; they all are listed under digi mods in SD as stopped. I was thinking that i might need some sought of update to suit the code they were written in, but have no real clue on this programming business.

I'm not sure if it will help but you might try updating to the latest .net framework...3.0?

If there stopped, it means for some reason there was a crash or an error with the DigitalMod, the log should contain more information on specifically whats happening.

please see attached my log of whats going on; its all mumbo jumbo to me, but any feed back would be much appreciated.
Im on the verge of purchasing SD, however Digi Mods are very important to me, and the deal breaker is getting the destinator digi mod to work; everything else is secondary.

As im pretty keen to get this working, right now i have just finished formatting and installing windows on my infill G4. Just downloading the latest drivers to get things working again, then i will do a full windows update.
I will only be installing the bare essentials to get both the infill G4 working and have windows up to date. At the moment SP 2 is downloading but once everything is ready i will install SD. Before upgrading to version 1.10.0.0, i will test the digi mods to see if there is any difference after the fresh XP install. Once tested, i will then do the upgrade and report my results.

Alright, i have re - installed only but the bare essentials to get the full functionality going of the G4, including all the windows updates and drivers. I have installed the demo version of SD and have not upgraded it at all. Then i have tried the same digi mods as previous.

I am now confident that the problem lies with the actual digi mods themselves, as all of the above did not change the result. This is unfortunate, as i was hoping it would be something as simple as this. The same is true after upgrading SD to v 1.10.0.0

Can somebody try the Destinator digi mod and see if they have the same problems? That would be much appreciated, as i said earlier, the destinator digi mod is the deal breaker for me as to whether i will purchase SD.
