    Yep...or the time zone could be determined from the lat/longitude. There's bound to be a table that could provide that info as well...after all, timezones are pretty static!

    EDIT

    Actually, the time zone and daylight savings time should be set in Windows system clock, so it theoretically should already be available...

    Awesome work!

    BTW, 06_TCOWNER, I have code to automatically calculate sunrise/sunset times. I can share that with you, or, if you want, can update your DigiMod.

    Ok, did not realize this was actually an Addin so I can't modify it (which is good, cuz I would rather 06TC_OWNER do that ) I sent him my source code hopefully he can incorporate it in.

    Your function seems to be accurate, but... this:
    Code:
    this.GetSunTimes(sa.NavController.GetLatitude(), sa.NavController.GetLongitude(), out sdt, out edt);
    does not appear to work.

    Specifically sa.NavController.GetLatitude() and sa.NavController.GetLongitude().

    I am not sure what it is returning, but it is definitely not the correct Lat and Long (I checked your function against weather.com lat and long for my location and it worked fine).

    Chuck... any thoughts? What are these functions returning? Is it something other than the standard lat and long we are used to?

    Did you try negating the latitude (or maybe the long, or both )? I think Mappoint uses a different sign convention.

    It should be just standard latitude and longitude in degrees. They will be negative for south / west.

    hmm... Maybe this function only works with positive numbers? I don't have enough information on this function, so I'd be shooting in the dark with guessing at it...

    Ok, my bad... I coded the longitude to be positive in the western hemisphere so you will have to negate the long you get from SD. Sorry about that.
