poi's use logos for quick searches by catagory, it would be much safer than typing while driving. pois should work while moving.

Hmmmm...maybe preseed the default list with more of the common POI search types and add icons to them. You shouldn't be typing in POI's while driving anyway so maybe updating to make the search button available only if the vehicle is not moving.
