Use StreetDeck to see and hear the current weather for your current GPS location.
To install, simply double click on it.
Which server does it use to pull the data?
If you install it and look at the script that runs, it pulls from the weather channel. The cool thing is that you can take this example and apply it to other XML projects pretty easily...which is great! I'm not a programmer but if I'm pointed in the right direction I can usually get things working.
I know this is a noob question but is this pulled down through an active internet conncetion?
If so... Can it be downloaded once for a weeks forecast?
(please dont hit me)
Yes, it's pulled through a 'net connection.
No, it doesn't cache. The weather forecast changes from hour-to-hour, so a cached weather forecast is essentially useless. It has to be current to be even remotely accurate.
Every time I run it there a error saying I didn't tell it the address. Where do I configure this? I have checked the options in streetdeck but I see nothing else.
I'm pretty certain that it chooses your location based on GPS coordinates.
