That was my favorite too. And guessing it would be the most accurate. Need anything else, let me know!

Any update on re-releasing this digimod? I miss having it, it is definately one of the things 1st timers are most impressed about when I show them the carputer.

The big issue that I've seen so far on this is that most of the other sites use graphics in place of text for the fuel cost. So instead of showing $4.25 in text form it's a graphic with random characters in the filename. I'm guessing to prevent other people from extracting the gas prices from the page directly.

    new dll

    Ok guys,
I went ahead and redeveloped the GasPriceDll to work with the new format. I guess this is the only way I can make this work until I have a better feeding mechanism.

Anyways, I just tested the dll only not the digitmod. Am able to reproduce the same xml file required for the digitmod to retrieve data so I dont see why this shouldnt work.
I need some of you to test the new dll from the digimod. I cant right now as why development pc doesnt have the navi part of streetdeck install so I would have to wait till I get home to test it.

All you need to do is replace the GasPriceDLL.dll associated with digimod ( located Streetdeck\Scripts\{3D8C3A42-34D7-480C-920F-7CC83363838F}\COM) with the attached dll (unzip it first ).

Also register the dll using the following command within the same folder above in the command prompt

    regsvr32 "GasPriceDLL.dll"

Let me know how this works. I will test it when I get home and create a new digimod if it works.

Great! As soon as this looks good, let's get this posted in the Approved Digital Mods section of the Streetdeck forum!

ok, finally tested it and it worked so here is the new digimod

note: upon initial install, i realized that I had to go to the preference page of this digimod and reselect the type of gas to display, otherwise it displays the cached value. this only occurs the first time because of the old version I had installed.

Thanks many times over, I'll give it a whirl in the morning on the way to fill up the car
