Unless you're looking at the GPS window, it shouldn't show Seconds at all. If it does, then something isn't handling the time formatting correctly. For example, the time on the 'status bar' should look like: 4:32pm

I looked into it, and made a change that I think will fix the time display. Let me know if it works for you. If not, let's look into it further. It's probably something to do with internationalization.

I've updated the source on my end to VB.Net 2008 so we can stay in sync with that.

I updated the 'Latest Build' page with the new code.

I don't think we want to just show a blank for No Speed. I mean, most CarPCs will have GPS or OBD, so the program should know the speed. If it doesn't, it's almost like something is wrong (software or hardware). It's kind of a debug message I guess. So I'm still torn on this one.

Looks promising, just tried it out, trying to get some things configured. Had to try out a fellow Michigander's software.

    Thx for sharing

    Anyone using this?

So... I have no idea if anybody aside from myself is using this app in their car (or truck, boat, moped, whatever)..

Personally, I'm not going to be offended if nobody is using it. But I would like to know if I should keep updating this site, or if it's a waste of my time.

This app doesn't claim to be the best thing ever. Just solid and functional, and maybe efficient. It doesn't crash on me, it doesn't lag on me, and it's easy to use. The interface looks alright, but it's not over-done. The PlayBack, Visuals, GPS, OBD, and WiFi all work great from my standpoint. I've gone months without having to reboot the PC or re-start the app, so it seems pretty solid to me.

There were a few hundred downloads of this program since June, but no indication of whether anyone tried it, used it, hated it, deleted it, etc. More people downloaded the app than the source-code, which surprised me a bit.

Since I haven't received a single comment or bug-report, I'm thinking nobody is using it.

    Aww.

I was genuinely interested until I saw that. Same reason RR bums me out. I'm looking for a VB front end I can play with source code on, but not using WMP or any other external app. An external library would be ok, but a whole stand-alone media player for the back end makes me sad.

However that being said, it looks like a good app, and good job.

It uses WMP as a control embedded into the app. It doesn't just execute Media Player as a separate window. You'd never even know it's WMP. The only part of it you ever see is the visualization. Also, it's VB.Net 2008 now.
