Here is a link to Mitch's HD radio app. Try with that first to see if it's a windows issue or Driveline issue. http://twintower.homeip.net/HDRadioPCR.zip SNO

    Thank you for the assistance.

I ended up 'finding' the right com port by plugging in another USB device. Its almost as though the comport options just had to refresh.
Radio playing perfectly now! I had to select 115200 Baud rate as mentioned should be done.

Is there a way I can tune into 'even' stations as well as the odd number stations?

i assume you mean the FM band when asking about even stations? im pretty sure the FM radio spec calls for tuning to odd frequencies. i would have to do some experimenting to see if the HD radio unit will allow an even FM frequency to be tuned. if you want to get a head-start, you could try modifying the presets in the DriveLine_Settings.XML to specify an even frequency, but im not sure what will happen.

The HD Radio can definitely do it.

FM radio stations all transmit in a band between 88 megahertz (millions of cycles per second) and 108 megahertz. This band of frequencies is completely arbitrary and is based mostly on history and whim. Inside that band, each station occupies a 200-kilohertz slice, and all of the slices start on odd number boundaries. So there can be a station at 88.1 megahertz, 88.3 megahertz, 88.5 megahertz, and so on. The 200-kilohertz spacing, and the fact that they all end on odd boundaries, is again completely arbitrary and was decided by the FCC. In Europe, the FM stations are spaced 100 kilohertz apart instead of 200 kilohertz apart, and they can end on even or odd numbers.
I think he may be in europe and it looks like they use even numbers as well as odd numbers since spread is 100kh vs what we use over here 200kh. Might be something to look at. SNO

I am in fact from Johannesburg, South Africa.
A lot of our radio stations are on the 'odd' frequencies. My particular favorite being on 98.00 Hence my query. Hehehe.

Okay. in the XML file, search for Radio_HD and below that should be Preset1 thru Preset6. Pick one, and set it to an even frequency that does not end in zero.

If the preset station frequency ends in zero, DriveLine will default it to AM band.

Make sure you do this with DriveLine closed.

I also have a question. If you use the SEEK buttons, does the HD Radio find the stations on even frequencies?

Excellent drive today, Driveline worked flawlessly. I finally switched my truck over to using my all in one box. Data rate average 35hz using the scantool micro200 chip. GPS usually 11-14 sats. Driveline sure has come along way in the past year or so, Great work Clockwork! SNO
