You might be on to something there, I have no experience with that unit. maybe someone else might know if they are different from the xmd-1000. SNO

I edited my previous post just before you replied. I'm fairly confident I found the problem and put in a fix. New ZIP on my site. That's the only change.

Here is short video showing a non activated xm radio playing and populating all channels. Sorry about the lack of volume I'm using a new camera and a test box on the bench with a cheap pair of mp3 player speaks. Great job Clockwork thanks SNO

Good news - I have stations and audio! Nice job. There are some "quirks" in the way the listview refreshes, resulting in some blank items until you manually refresh the screen or the channel updates. Still, it's progress, and that's always good.

    Cheers!

I would help test but I keep all my music locally and haven't had any form of radio in my car ever since replacing the head unit with the carputer. Are HD radio receivers cheap? Ive not really considered it in the past but if it is able to work in Driveline, it may be worth considering.

Hey duncanator24 HD radio units are priced around 75 new to 30-50 used plus you need mitchs usb cable thats around 30 new or find a used one. Being in the States you could get all kinds of HD channels plus AM/FM. You might find a used setup from classifieds here. Hope this helps SNO

    VegasGuy,

That's good to hear. (small pun intended) I've also noticed the initial channel list blanks some of the first items until it's refreshed. Pretty sure the issue is that I'm querying info for the current station while also querying/receiving the channel list. Should be an easy fix sometime today. In case it wasn't obvious, double-click an item to change stations, or use the Prev/Next arrows on the bottom of the screen. I would like to know if the volume controls are working for you. When you unmute a source (Media, XM, HD), the other sources should mute so that audio cannot overlap. Also, just out of curiosity, are you manually updating DriveLine, or using the auto-updater that's built in?

    Duncanator,
I wasn't really interested in having radio in my car until I started playing with the HD and XM units. It's nice to have a few stations of a particular genre to go to instead of just shuffling the same old MP3s over and over. The audio is crystal-clear most of the time. And I feel like adding support for these units to DriveLine has gone fairly smooth. Of course, other front-ends support these units as well.

    SNO,
I'm watching your video. It looked like the XM volume control was working correctly, but the HD Radio unit was not. Am I interpreting that correctly? If so, which audio line is each one on? I'm guessing XM on LineIn and HD on Microphone.

Unfortunately, I need to do real work while I'm at work today. So there [probably] won't be any fixes until this evening. It looks like radios are working pretty well so far. Just need to make sure audio line control is working correctly for everyone.

Hey Clockwork you are correct in that hd volume is not working correctly, xm does fine, yes xm=line-in hd=mic-in we all have to work sometime, not a problem waiting for your magic. SNO

I put up a new version on my site. No major changes. Just a fix for the initial XM Radio station-listing, and some skin fixes involving the prev/next arrows. When the app starts, there's a few moments where it says Radio Not Activated. Then it connects. I'll be interested to figure out what the issue is with the microphone line. When you click on the HD Radio volume bar, does the bar change? Also, do you have the Microsoft speech software running? I'm wondering if some other process is using the mic line.

And also, seeing the presets word-wrapping is very weird. This program makes a point of auto-sizing text (and images) correctly in the allotted space, regardless of fonts.

Today was a great day driving, Driveline worked excellently. I did about 400kms and on my way out I listened to FM on the HD radio and on my way back XM. I love the maps app, it's a very nice feature and the traffic app work flawlessly. Great job Clockwork
