But the module is out of stock now. I'm waiting for his notification when he makes other units.
Are you guys interested? It can probably speed things if he knows there are 3 modues to make :-)
I read the russian forum through translator and Im not too sure if they are talking about the module not having echo cancel built in? I had checked the MBC05-CAR datasheet and there was no mention of echo or noise cancel at all, I though they would proudly mention that on the datasheet or website seeing other module doesnt have it built in.

I couldnt quite work out whats being said there, maybe you can?

I supposed once you get your module you can test it but then thats money wasted if it doesnt work right for you.

    Ok thats cool,

Im keeping an eye on the forum and see what the early adopter says about the unit. I think 3-4 guys are testing it at the moment. Mind doing a review once you get yours?

ok i got the device. but it is performing worse than bluesoleil for the moment !!! the device comes with a microphone too but neither this lic nor my overkill mic morks any better. sound is low and there too much noise. device is probably faulty. I'm talking to the developper but I have no hope.
The device has an input and output port. I connect my soundcard to the input and my speakers to the output (I have an amp of course) and the device mutes the audio when a call comes in or audio is played on the iphone.
The device looks neat. has a keypad to integrate it with car steering wheel buttons. It has a usb connection and is very quick to connect to the phone. Another issue is the device does not ask for a PIN code so the first phone get connected !!! first come first served. the developper says there is default pin but I didn't see any. The device comes with a windows soft which is not really optimised for carpc screen. It sould be make into a plugin. You have phonebook support/import and some other function. BUT the problem is sound on the other of the line is pretty bad

    @ibf
Any update about your tests. i think I will get me a BT dev kit ans start playing with it.

Thats bad, it could well be faulty unit or maybe something is just not set correctly. What exactly is wrong with the sound on the other line? noise? echo? groundloop?

With the PIN, Ill say your phone and the BT handsfree is using "simple secure pairing" no need to enter PIN for this, you just normally accept or initiate the pairing and its done.

I agree with the software, plugin for major FE should be created. It look half done without the plugin.

For my BT test? well it works but the problem is that the module Im using doesnt support echo and noise cancel so at this point Ill say its pretty useless as a handsfree for car use. I did made my own noise canceller using dsPIC MCU, no time to test the echo canceller yet. In fact Im not too sure how good it is and I find it pointless to make one when a complete BT chip can do it all at once and with a much better performance. Unfortunately Im unable to find a BT module with it all built in. I will look into it again though and see what other options available.

Sound is low on the other side. Device has no volume control. And there is some noise on the other side.
I expected clear sound at leas with my DA-350 microphpne !!!
I'm still interested in yu device as I have a good mic for noise cancelling and a SoHo card which is really great for echo cancel. Let meknow if you have the time to make another module for me to test.
The developper of the other device is looking into making another device with a more advanced chip but he does not know when it will be ready...

but the chip is probably good if you want to try it. it is a CSR MBC05-CAR. It does have echo cancel and noise cancel but it certainly needs some tuning...
