    Phone integration using Parrot kits

The subject has already been discussed on mp3car so I'm posting here just to see if you guys have any ideas on how to do this using some relays or phidget stuff :-)

    This guy did it here:

Wow!! Solution #2 is the bomb! If that can be found available somewhere and works as good as other Parrot products do, it will be the "missing link" for car PC's. Since it's an OEM type raw component, I suspect someone with the brain power to do so would need to build it into a project box with a USB interface. Mitch.....??? Where are you Mitch.....ahmmm SC-C1 box but for BT

Here's the US site with some BlueTooth devices.
    http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/b...-free-car-kits

At first glance, the MKi9000 (and CK3000) looks similar to the device on that avbrand page. Maybe a newer revision?
(but I don't see the "mute box" in there.)

Nice module that is, my gut feeling is that those are not for sale to the general public, then there is probably an expensive devkit to buy + nda + minimum order of 1000s. Its probably worth asking parrot, but you will also need someone brave enough to put down the cash/time/effort. Getting the datasheet and the price is a start.

I just bought the WT32 module from farnell and I hope to get it soon and start playing. Being too busy Ill probably wont get very far LOL.

I sent a request to Parrot yesterday. I just got their reply: they're transferring my request to the dev departement :-)
Not sure this is going anywhere but I tried :-)

or maybe we can just ask Bluesoleil to make a carpc module.
I'm even tempted to test one of their dongles with their stack:

Most of these companies aren't going to go out of their way to accommodate a small number of CarPC users. If the Parrot dev team gets in contact, that's probably the best bet.
