Suggestions for future releases

Taskbar is too big ! maybe make it smaller to give more space for embedded apps.
OSK and home butons take space on the right side. May be moving them to the taskbar-navbar will give more space too. Example is Garmin app is not full screen when opened and Gps signal is not visible. I have an 8inch screen and this makes it look like a 6 inch screen when I open and APP :-)
Mute button and Volume buttons should be available on taskbar.
I even think Speedometer or logo might be more visible placed in the center with all other icons placed around it.
Give the icons some rounded angles and some 3D effect

And most of all keep up the good work

I could reduce the height of the NavBar at the bottom by about 12%. I was thinking about doing this anyway.

If you need more screen space for an app, there is an option in the DriveLine_Settings.XML called "AppLeaveOnDesktop". If you change this from FALSE to TRUE for GMPC, the app will not be embedded when you run it. Instead, it will be left on the desktop and DriveLine will minimize when you switch to GMPC. A small DriveLine window will float along the right-side of the screen to provide access to the OSK and a way to get back to the main DriveLine interface. I've considered adding a Mute button to the this small floating DriveLine window. Try changing this setting and let me know what you think.

You're probably right about the speedometer/logo as well. Unfortunately, the tile layout is a 5x3 grid, and the speedometer/logo is a 2x2 tile. So centering it isn't really an option without a different layout and different sized tiles. All of this is just changes to the skin files.

I can make a lot of things work, but sometimes I need some suggestions for how to make it look good. So I appreciate every suggestion. Thanks!

I was crudely playing around with different layouts. Could the main screen be a 6x4 grid and still keep things like weather using 2x1 tiles and then the speedo/logo could go in centre still being 2x2 tiles. The tiles still seem like a good size for a 7" screen to press. This is based on workable main screen size of 800x500 leaving the bottom 800x100 untouched if thats the correct measurement. Then you would have room on main screen for phidgets /tpms /pandora just a thought SNO Attachment 67919

And something that always bites me when I launch DriveLine: as soon as I see the icons I start clicking and forget that the app is still loading in the navbar... might be better to move the Loading... progress to the middle of the screen with a splash or something :-)

the logo can be just the manufacturer logo on a transparent background like a floating logo

The speedeometer or speedometerS or gauges can be put on a second separate screen...
