    GPS wont connect

I have a BU-353s4 and it works on the GPSinfo app, but wont connect in Driveline. I have com3 , the com port it is on, on 4800 baud rate and have set it up in driveline the same with no connection. Also my bottom left and right buttons are greyed out and if i hit the right one it gives me some error and asks me if i want to close or continue. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can only have 1 app using the gps so if you have gpsinfo running and start Driveline then it won't be seen unless you are using xport or gpsgate the simulates extra gps ports. Also is it set at 4800 in control panel/ports/settings? just a thought, I'm sure Clockwork might have more info SNO

yes, SNO i did think about only one app being able to access the GPS at one time. I did have all other GPS apps closed. Also to note on this matter that if another program is using it that com port will not be visible in Driveline. thanks for the input though.

The arrow buttons on the bottom will be grayed out if you don't have a playlist loaded. They are for Prev/Next track. Not sure why you're getting an error though. I just loaded the app with an empty playlist and am unable to reproduce the error.

The GPS icons will be grayed out if no GPS fix is available. You can still click on the GPS (earth) icon and see if any data is being reported.

I will investigate. Let me know everything about your setup that you can. What OS are you on? What error do you receive when you click the arrow? (There should be a button on the error message to extended details). Also, what is the date on your DriveLine.exe file?

One other thought. In Windows Control Panel, make sure the baud rate matches the 4800 setting used in DriveLine. When the two don't match, it can interfere with DriveLine's connection to the port.

Setup: Windows 7 x64 bit. A Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi Mobo with two Solid State hard drives in raid 0.
This is the error i am getting when clicking on the right arrow only, (left arrow does nothing)

Thanks for the info. I am now able to fix the error. It only affects a blank playlist when the "play favorites" option is on. I am correcting it right now. Did you check the baud rate of the COM3 in Control Panel? That may very well be the issue with the port in DriveLine.

The port is set to 4800 as well. However, I just clicked on the globe icon and noticed when I select the right com port at the right baude rate it says 0/12 stats in use. when i select anything else it says 0/0. So I guess it does actually see it. I should not i am inside my office in a concrete building still testing this the front end and whole system before i fab it into the vehicle. Maybe i have to bring it outside. I will take my laptop out at lunch and take it for a drive and report back.

    thanks for the info.
