some expensive mics :-)
Great work Hadaak.
Long time no hear... How's the progress? :-)

haven't worked on it lately. And haven't used it either. I'm building a new carpc and will be putting it in soon.
I tried the two configurationI already mentionned: dedicated speaker and sound card line in but I think I'm going with the dédicated speaker option as the line-in option introduces echo. I got bought a mini speaker but it is not that loud for the car environment so I'm looking for a better one.
Will update soon.
Getting back to this project too :-)
To Clockword: I found a nice script (I'm using c#) manipulate sound in Vista/Windows7/8, both master/system sound and app sound. Let me know if you want to take a look and see if you want to add a config or an additional button to driveline to up or down the master volume. As of today upping the volume only works on the mediaplayer app in driveline.
I'm using this in my phone app to mute all sounds when on call and to raise/lower the volume of the app.
And for audio out I'm thinking of using the car amplifier AUX input lines. Not sure if I can have both sound card audio and AUX audio coming out of the amp at the same time. The sound card audio is muted of course when the phone rings. I will test this and report back. I just hope I won't be frying anything :-)
I wish it was that easy. Windows Vista and up intentionally try to make it so a program cannot take control of the master sound system. There are work-arounds, of course. But I've tried to abide by the rules on this one. Plus, it will make my life a lot harder in terms of programming. Managing the audio lines and levels is already tricky.
However, Hadaak, send me a link and I will look at the code and decide if it's something to add to DriveLine.
