    ODB Hardware Recomendation request

    Hi all,

I am looking into OBD for the first time and would like to know if anyone can recommend either ScanTools products over OBDPros or visa versa. (I know the price is different but any technical reasons for one over the other.) I looking for USB as well as I already use my serial port

I have a fiat punto Make 2 2000 build and I have found the OBD connector so it must have some support.

Also - would ScanTools J1962M Right Angle cable to DB9F work with OBDpros device? (OBDPro does not do anything similar and space is quite small near the socket)

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi quenchmaster,

Not all of the Punto 99- models are OBD2 compliant I'm afraid, you probably need to take a look at what pins are present to get an indication of your level of OBD2 compliance.

As you are UK-based take a look at our web-site: www.ukobd.co.uk for details.
