Interactive or just readable?

I'm new to this whole scene, but I'm interested in putting a carputer in my girlfriend's 99 accord. Am I to understand that with the elmscan I'll be able to tune the engine some or does it just readout the engine's stats? If read-only, can streetdeck incoorperate other engine tuning programs like hondata?

You can clear a troublecode, but you won't vbe able to tune the engine, adjust air/fuel ratios or anything like that throught eh OBD port.
