    Help!!!!!

O.K. so I've been combing the threads to find an answer to my problem and I didnt see it. I have a 96 Chevy Impala SS and I'm using Centrafuse as my front end. I installed the OBDII add on program into Centrafuse and I bought an OBDII plug from EBAY. I entered the correct info into Centrafuse (Baud rate and ELM info) and when I go to the OBDII screen all it says is "Connecting" then it either disconnects or just stays in the connecting mode.
Is there something I forgot? If not then is there a way for me to test my plug and make sure that its good? (without spending any more money!)
If there is an answer to my problem posted already, PLEASE point me there cause I didnt see one.

    Thanks ANYONE(!)

You should be able to connect to the scantool using hyperterminal and test if the scantool is working correctly.

Start hyperterminal and select the com port that the scantool is hooked up to, use the standard com settings 9600 BPS, no parity 8 bit data, 1 stop bit. and then enter 0100, the scantool should return some data - this would confirm that the scantool is working properly.

Once you confirm that you can work on integrating that with centrafuse.

I appreciate the response, but I just downloaded a free OBDII program and tested my scan tool. It does work correctly. I entered all the correct info into the Centrafuse "configure" section but I don't get any results. It connects easily to the other program and I would use it for my needs but I paid more than enough for my front end and I want to be able to use ALL of the features....
