    LCD Digital Panel - ALDL Serial Interface

    Hey all,
    Setting up for a mate a digital gauge cluster for his VP commodore. Has a ALDL connector and using this interface http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl160/aldl_hw.htm im going to wire it to a car pc and have that running to a cheap 7" non touchscreen motorized LCD.

    Im looking for skinnable software to use but its tough finding ones that are ALDL compliant. Would prefer to get something free but im happy to pay.

    If anyone has skins for the skyline dash thing please let me know

    Just to let everyone know. Ive googled a fair bit and the best ive come up with is winaldl http://winaldl.joby.se/ which is ugly and tunerpro http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/ which is ugly and cant be skinned afaik.

    id be interested to know how u go with this...

    have u looked at turbolink http://www.turbo-link.com/ which has better looking gauges (there still not that good thou)

    Perhaps you guys mightlike to look at skinbedder. It allows you to 'skin' otherwise unskinnable programs...

    Hey Grueliustux,

    How did you go with this project in the end? as i am looking to convert the standard dash into a two 7"" vga screen digital dash.

    Waiting on my new computer as screwed bios on last one. But in general what did you do with the ALDL link
