Wow - didn't that come from left field.....

To be honest Joey, while the Mongeese do a good job of bringing the Drewtech products down closer to the home-tinkerer level of pricing, I've already been caught out with it only supporting 2 x Protocols and no pin voltage.

If I bought another J2534 device for playing at home it would have to be a true multiprotocol voltage-applying tool. I understand that the cardaq is this - but the Cardaq isn't exactly priced to target me as a consumer - by a factor of around 3.

However, this shouldn't detract from how excellent the Mongoose has been when being used in the way in which it was intended to from purchase. If only the blinken thing would work in Vista64! It has, however, been faultless in XP, even with a USB extender.

Er, so does that mean it can listen to multiple protocols at once? I'm guessing no as well.

The main protocols for me are CAN and ISO. I do a lot of manual switching back and forth on my old slow serial ELM. I have a CAN/ISO Mongoose as well - that may not have been made obvious in this thread.

Is there any chance a J2534 'shim' may be on it's way for the OBDPro? It would obviously have to do a lot of fudging. I know you've touched on it as a future possibility in the past. No harm in asking again.

they are a well known company in diagnostics and have an interface 16 pin to 23 pin or more which allows duplex which elm327 seems to fail because its 16 pin to 9 pin db, 16 to 23 allows more input and extraction, I tried to buy one in the UK with no success ( Peugeot Citroen use this process, Peugeot/Citroen/Renault use this on a 30/VARIABLE pin connection on E.L.I.T as long as its upgraded to 2000+
