Make sure you're using the right COM settings. Mine only communicates on the high speed. Especially if you bought one of the cheap knockoffs on eBay.

Note that according to many forum resouces and Web data that many manufacturers weren't obliged to make their car (petrol) models OBD2 Compliant until 2001 (2004 in the case of Diesels). Seems strange as my 1999 TDDI Diesel (recently Died, Diesel Pump) failure seem to talk fine to the local garage's OBD2 Diagnostic unit happily. I'm sure you local FORD dealer is obliged to share this info (Freedom of Info Act etc etc...).
    good luck

Most likely that means your fiesta diesel is not OBD II compatible

    Thanks

Doubt it's not compat. same gear used in most of Fords 'facelift' cars and they seem to work fine.

    Hi,

No it is not compatible, we do supply the MBD3210 which will interface with pre-EOBD TDCi Fiesta.

    Hope this helps,
