    Recommended Mazda OBDII Software

    I currently own a OBDII to Serial/USB cable which I would like to actually use. Are there any recommended programs that anyone knows of that will work with this cable and also with my 02 Mazda Protege. I would prefer freeware but and software recommendations are greatly appreciated.

    What type of interface is it? ELM323/327 based?
