    GM Can Command Exchange

I have an '06 Silverado. So far I have sniffed the commands for all the radio controls on the steering wheel, lock/unlock, and passenger window.

I am hoping someone has some advice on sniffing the driver window command as it seems that switch is directly wired. Or has some other commands they are willing to pm or email. Or know of some good places to look for this info.

    Thanks,

    MJW

Just a shame I can't justify a carpc to use it on anymore.

Do the posts get monitored and removed for sharing this info? Is there any way to successfully share this stuff without consequence?

I have posted some of the commands I found on a trailblazer that was using class II here

    http://www.obdpros.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1162750290

Is the 06 using CAN or Class II?

I have been playing with an STS that I was able to get my hands on for a couple of days and it seems it uses a single wire can bus for the body control module I have some commands that I can share but you would need a special interface that can do single wire can PM me if you are interested

    Thanks
    Paul

Not that I know of. I would think posts of this nature would be welcomed.

    @Michbound

Yeah you must be psmith on the obd pro forum. I have posted all this over there as well, a ways back now.

    @All
Anyways, for my 06 silverado here is what I know.

The table wasn't looking nice so I made it comma delimited.

    Command Name, Command
    Program, A8 A9 40 90 94 2C 8C, A8 A9 40 10 00 00 07
    Source Down, A8 A9 40 90 94 26 5E, A8 A9 40 10 00 00 07
    Source Up, A8 A9 40 90 94 25 5E, A8 A9 40 10 00 00 07
    Seek Down, A8 A9 40 90 94 0D 16, A8 A9 40 10 00 00 07
    Seek Up, A8 A9 40 90 94 0E 31, A8 A9 40 10 00 00 07
    Volume Down, A8 A9 40 90 94 10 47, A8 A9 40 10 00 00 07
    Volume Up, A8 A9 40 90 94 11 5A, A8 A9 40 10 00 00 07
    Lock, 68 C4 40 11 1F 1F EF
    Unlock, 68 C4 40 11 00 1F F8
    Pass Window Up, 68 CB A0 09 04 00 00 00 40
    Pass Window Dn, 68 CB A0 09 02 00 00 00 40
    Pass Win All Dn, 68 CB A0 09 0A 00 00 00 40

There are others I need to dig up for lights etc.

These are from an 05 CTS-V from V8V on obdpro forums.

    Header 68 CB A4

    LF Down 06 00 95 0F
    LF up 06 00 D5 0F

    LR down 06 00 5D 0F
    LR up 06 00 59 0F

    RF down 06 00 75 0F
    RF up 06 00 5D 0D

    RR down 06 00 57 0F
    RR up 06 00 56 0F

I think I just need to try different offsets and hit the driver window by trial and error unless anyone else has other ideas?

I can sniff the passenger window from the driver seat because I am operating it "remotely". The driver window module is right in the driver door and must be wired directly so it might not even be on the bus? Maybe I can check my shop manuals. I will also try operating the pass window from pass controls to see if anything is sent over the comm. bus?

Also, I am using an elm 322.

And I can't believe how sparse this info is on the web.
