    We drive 1800-2500 mile journeys in the span of < 30 hours multiple times a year and it comes in very handy. It is exactly like cruise control when on the open road, but if someone cuts infront of you, you slow down instead of banging into them.

    I would hope that you could avoid banging into them even without gadgetry.

    In any case, this ACC just doesn't mimic my driving style. If I slowed down for every slowpoke who got in my way, I'd never get anywhere! When I catch up to a slower vehicle, I don't slow down to whatever speed they are traveling, I change lanes and pass the MFer.
