    help with elm323

    hi every one hope you can help i have proscan on my laptop running on windows 2000 when conected to car it gives the following mesages.

    the interface hardware was detected and initialized but communication with the vehicle could not be established.

    verrify that the vehicles protocol matches the interface

    system null reference exeption not set to an instance of an object.

    can any one help with this

    What type of interface are you tried?

    Can you connect to the interface via hyperterminal and see if you can send it commands?
